Olivia Louvel

Doll Divider

I recently purchased a doll for my daughter, but after opening the package I decided to keep the doll for myself. Despite the possibility of dividing the family, the intrigue was overwhelming and I thought this was far too sexy a gift to give to an adolescent girl. The mature brittle nature of the sound fiber also made me think that I was making a good decision.  Louvel opens the heart over the forlorn, above the motivated, and below our body fluids with a gyrating femininity. The grooves come from the pelvis, the frustrated groans, languid lyrics and her multiple vocal flights are too full of womanhood for little girls or boys. This is 'erototronica' for adults expressed along with a myriad of small toys, minimal signal beats, or monster sounds to carry us. Doucement... Yes please. Encore. Doucement. This is so beautifully made that I wear gloves, white gloves, when I play it. I don't want to break it.
